Factors that influence a car buying decision

Hi All
Some cars do well and some don't. It will be nice to capture what t-Bhpians consider are important to make a buying decision.

Random list of parameters include:

Price
Brand image
Styling
Utility/practicality (suitability for a specific use or al-roundess)
Performance
Fuel efficiency
Build quality-robustness
Reliability
Comfort
Resale value
Other (specify)

My personal order of priority is:
8 > 7 > 5 > 3 > 9 > 10 > 1 > 2

Fuel efficiency
Performance
Reliability
Practicality
Styling
Price

For me, the following factors (in the order given) influence my car buying decision

1. Brand Name (mostly inclined towards Japanese vehicles)
2. Styling
3. Reliability
4. Fuel Efficiency
5. Maintenance (Read that as low cost of ownership)
6. Price (This is because I first decide the car I want to buy and then get prepared to pay the price)
