Initially booked XUV700 MX Petrol Midnight Black on the first day of booking. Was not convinced with car as AT is the future of automobile plus ESP missing. My cousin decided to take the car in my name and make payment and will do the transfer later after delivery.

Just so you know, when you transfer the car in his name, he becomes the second owner regardless of you never having owned the car. Work with the dealer to register the car in his name itself before delivery.

Hello BHPians, this is my first post here and will like to first thanks all for the insights provided over the years.

I have booked a Nexon EV XZ+ white after lot of research, deliberation, doubt, debates with friends and family. This is going to be my 3rd car after a preowned Santro Xing (used for 5 years) and a preowned Swift with an external CNG kit (currently in 6th year of usage). My daily usage pre-covid times was about daily 50Kms however with work from home it has drastically reduced to about 75-100 km per week (hoping my commute will increase soon to get the benefit of the EV).

I had few queries and needed your inputs on the following:
• The dealer shared the booking order number to confirm that the order was placed. However, wanted to know if there any official way to track if the dealer is not allocating orders out of turn?
• For insurance, apart from the mandatory policy, I plan to go for Zero depreciation and return to invoice as addon. Is there other addon which is recommended?
• I have noted that the dealer invoicing and payment needs to be done prior to PDI. what if there is some issue? can i hold the payment till PDI completed?
