BMW M340i xDrive to be launched on March 10

The M340i xDrive will be assembled in India, making it the first M Performance model to be built locally.

According to a media report, the BMW M340i xDrive will be launched in India on March 10, 2021. It will be assembled in India, making it the first M Performance model to be built locally.

The M340i xDrive is likely to be positioned at the top of the 3 Series line-up. It will come with SensaTec upholstery, M Leather Steering wheel, M Rear Spoiler, glass roof, Sport Seats, M Seat Belts, ambient lighting, Head-Up Display, Apple CarPlay, Gesture control, Wireless Charging, LaserLight, Parking Assistant System, Tyre Pressure Display, and High Gloss Shadow Line. It also gets M Sports suspension, M Aerodynamic Package, M rear spoiler, M Sport brakes, and M Sport differential.

The M340i xDrive is powered by a twin-turbo 3.0-litre inline 6-cylinder engine producing 377 BHP @ 5,500-6,500 rpm and 500 Nm @ 1,850-5,000 rpm. The engine is paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission and power is sent to all four wheels. The 0-100 km/h time is claimed to be 4.4 seconds.
