An automated manual transmission (AMT) version of the Nexon is in the pipeline and test mules of the same have been spotted in the recent past. Now, a leaked internal document suggests that the AMT will be offered on both petrol and diesel variants of the Nexon. Also, the Nexon XZA will be offered in a new exterior colour - codenamed Mari Gold, in addition to the existing colours.

Tata is likely to kick off production with a small batch of media vehicles next month. Full-scale production of the Nexon XZA is likely to begin in January 2018 and it might be launched by the end of February or in the first half of March 2018.

Tata is believed to add an optional sunroof to the list of OEM accessories for the Nexon.

The Tata Nexon was launched on September 21, 2017. At launch, the compact SUV was offered with a choice of a 1.2-litre, 108 BHP / 170 Nm petrol engine and a 1.5-litre, 108 BHP / 260 Nm diesel engine paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
