Scoop: New Honda Jazz variants revealed

The variants of the upcoming Honda Jazz hatchback have been revealed. Like the City sedan, the Jazz will come in E, S, SV, V and VX trim levels.

The E variant sits at the bottom of the line-up. It is equipped with a pedestrian injury mitigation system, a driver seatbelt and key-off reminder, a day/night rear view mirror, LED high mounted stop lamp, LED tail lamps, MID with blue illumination, fuel consumption warning/display, average fuel consumption display, tachometer, one-touch lane change indicators, power steering, tilt steering and power windows on all four doors.

The S variant adds ABS and EBD, rear windshield defogger, a glossy black upper grille, chrome lower grille, body coloured door handles and ORVMs, an integrated audio system with an 8.9 cm screen, 4 speakers, hands free telephone, audio controls on the steering wheel, a power socket, a height-adjustable driver's seat, electrically adjustable ORVMs, a rear parcel shelf, central locking and 3 grab handles.

The SV variant gets all the features of the S plus front airbags for the driver and passenger, multi-view reverse parking camera, front fog lamps, one touch up/down operation for the driver's window with pinch guard, rear micro antenna, MID with LCD display, Eco assist system, instantaneous fuel economy display, outside temperature display, range, front centre panel with glossy black finish, integrated audio system with 12.7 cm screen, hands-free telephone control on steering wheel, beige fabric upholstery and passenger vanity mirror with lid.

The V variant comes with a rear windshield washer and wiper, alloy wheels, ORVMs with integrated turn indicators, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, auto air-conditioning with touchscreen control panel, electrically foldable ORVMs and paddle shifters (CVT).

The VX variant is the top-of-the-line trim level and comes with a rear spoiler, front and rear mudguards, an AVN system with a 15.7 cm touchscreen, DVD player, navigation, black fabric upholstery, seat back pockets, adjustable rear head restraints, 60:40 split rear seats, rear seats multi-utility modes and rear seat reclining.

The new Jazz will be available in seven colours - Sunset Orange, Urban Titanium Metallic, Carnelian Red Pearl, Orchid White Pearl, Taffeta White, Golden Brown Metallic, Alabaster Silver Metallic.

Honda is expected to launch the car on July 8, 2015.
