Aarey baba, a discontinued speaker is not a bad speaker. in my world there are some who'll pay an arm and a leg for N-O-S (New-Old-Stock).

Hurray! So, JBL is bringing in a new line of products!

Can't wait to check out the GT5 series, even though it feels bad that both my amp models are discontinued now.

All the best Sam!

OHO! So A Team-BHPian from Chennai beat everyone else! Congratulations - this would be the first purchase of a GT5 on this forum!! Super.

Now you know what you have to do - tell us more -

How have you mounted it? Sealed box? Ported box?

post pictures and most importantly, since this is a brand new product, you have to post an honest listening experience.

Cheers and enjoy the music!!

Sub is mounted on a sealed box. I will post the pics 1st thing in the morning.
The sub is tooooooo good. Even in low volume its bass is fabulous. This is a picture before it was mounted.

I really love a lot of bass. My mom cant really sit in the car these days the bass just shakes up the whole body. What else can i say this sub is in power to Alpine Type R, correct me if i am wrong. Audio clarity is fantastic and the punch it delivers is truely good. Whenever i switch of the sub its not like listeneng to music, even though the component and coxials try to keep up.

Well it doesn't quite work like that - but since you are asking, the GTO are the best of those 3. I suspect you won't find CS series components too easily and GT5 components are not released yet.

i paid 5500rs for that sub. i think it really worth it. I was actually plannin on going with Boston Sub. The installer said it would be better to go with JBL. The boston was 8500rs. So its cheaper and better than it.

One of the incredible USPs of the GT5 series is its pricing. It has been purposely priced lower than it should be - as Navin pointed out, to attack the middle and lower segment brands.

However, most dealers across India place a premium on new products, because people pay the premium, inflated price, because it's a JBL and because it's LATESSS.

As I suspected, this trend has begun already.

The GT5-12 carries an MRP of Rs. 4990/- Please be aware of this fact, while making your next purchase and be firm and insist on not paying a rupee more than the MRP.
