I observed that the thickness of the glass in the windows and the windshield also makes a lot of difference. The swift has pretty thin side glass windows compared to the siena/palio,hence road noise etc is more apparent.
well if your floor / firewall is damped it sure helps.

This might help..

How Much bass increase can I expect to get with a Dynamat Trunk Kit?
While results vary from vehicle to vehicle and depend greatly on the installation, typical results have yielded a 3dB increase in Sound Pressure Level (SPL) bass output from a normal installation.
Actually i think if there is SPL increase of 3db it might be because when the car is damped it wont let the air / sound pressure escape. So the level will increase inside the cabin as it will be kind of sealed cabin.

Well going back to the topic a normal user might not need damping in a car like Getz if he has an average system. Were as in swift the same thing would require damping over a period of time.

I totally disagree here that was my point. How can you define that a person needs damping or not. It is a owners choice and yes damping helps.

@ zero critical there are only 2-3 small parts which needs to be damped!!

if i need more i will buy simple

to all

the main concern for me is to get rid of the rattling from those points first ...

am little happy today..

found that Blaupunkt dimensions are Height x Width x Depth (mm): 49x190x426

and dimensions of JBL 1004 are (L x W x H) 18-9/16" x 10-3/8" x 2-1/8"

so i think can come easily go under the current location i.e co-driver seat and i can hide it from my parents
