Sony or Blaupunkt or Kenwood ?

I am getting my Hyundai Accent delivered this week. Just wanted to get some advice on the audio setup for the car.

I have been having Sony Head Units (MP3) and X-PLOD speakers for my previous cars (Santro). No Amplifiers and Sub-woofers. Was OK !

Now here are my choices for the head unit and speakers (possibily amps too)
1. Sony
2. Blaupunkt
3. Kenwood

My budget is around 15K. Which one of the above has better performance and value ? What can be my total setup (ie. HU+speakers+amps) ?

Thanks

I read somewher taht JVC HU are ok, but doesnt have a powerful builin amp in them. Why dont you check some and tell us . Ther was another post regarding this JVC HU. Maybe you too can Pm each other abt it.

Blau speakers are better than sonys so maybe you can stick to all blau unit. even blau amps and subs are good.

I dont like kenwood. personal exp.

Sony HU are good too, stay away from the speakers if you like good VFM stuff. Sony amps are VFM though!

JBL is available in Chennai, see advt on autocarindia. some guys at KG plaza(g p road) has them.

mate get compos for frnt and 6X9 at back for a start. Search around for more options

For JK--Can u plz elaborate on this? What happened to kenwood system?Did u like its SQ? I wanted to buy alpine HU but now i am more interested in kenwood bcoz of its 24-bit burr-brown digital-to-analog converter.
I am 'from' another thread-want to buy good car audio system.

mate, i havent heard teh newer kenwood ones. and kenwood aint so popular these days here. (s. inda)

i think i was used to the quality of a kenwood Hu that came with zen sometime back and the SQ was very bad ( i was using an alpine HU at tht time). But,these 24 bit things have soem fans in our forums.

So mate, just hear it at a shop and decide. thats all. i guess in UK, kenwood does good sales.

http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...roductID=14688

at $132 each 2 of them would be $264 will give you 4 channels of 60W and 2 of 150W.

I heard from a local car audio dealer here that the amps and subs may not be required if component speakers are installed at front and in the rear. Is that true ? So is it ok to limit with a HU and component speakers for front and rear ? And yes Sam, he has JBLs

pls stay away from such a installer..he doesnt know what he is doing..by doing such an insallation he will be frying ur HU lol..as the HU amp isnt capable of running components at the front and the back..so it better u get atleast a 4 ch amp..

as far as the subs thingy, the compos will never give u the bass that comes from a sub..for good bass without a sub u might have to stick to a pair of 6x9's..

PS: by doing such an installation ul anyways head back to the shop to get a amp anyway,it will sound way too distorted even at medium volumes..
