Default SCOOP : Swift SEDAN Exclusive PICS!!

yesterday i went to rana motors, safdurjung enclave to test drive the SX4 sedan, had a talk with one of the staff members (i cannot discolse his name), who showed me the first photos of the swift sedan set to to replace the esteem, taken from maruti's plant in Haryana.

despite repeated requests by me, he declined to give me photos which are in his laptop.

sorry for no photos, but i remember how the car looks like.

the profile till the B-pillar is carried over from the swift hatch, from there, the rear doors are new-somewhat like the SX-4, and the boot integrated in the hatch gives a look like the BMW 7-series "bangle butt", taillights are a copy of the nissan teana and the numberplate is on the middle of the boot, not down on the bumper.
the photo had a grille with 2-horizontal slats, the model's name was written as swift zxi and the car had the same 7-spoke alloy wheels as the present swift zxi hatch. colour-silky silver.

no words on when the launch is expected.
i will try my brst again to grab pictures from his laptop if that guy goes for lunch and i'll take it on my pen drive and post it here, if possible.

If you are indeed able to do so, it will help end a lot of speculation.

I think it is the angle of the photograph that is making the rear look too stretched out maybe. But a nice scoop nevertheless.

EDIT: are you guys sure that it is not photoshopped ? Either that or the finishing is pathetic

So we finally get a picture !! Thanks a lot amitverma.

As for the car, I tihnk its pretty ugly though im sure there are some people who value a boot a lot and I guess this car should make sence to them.

The angle of the photo makes the rear look very large and elongated compared to the front. Hope it would look decent from side view. I do not think the photograph is photoshopped. You can see the plant making swifts on the background. It is a real swift sedan. Thanks Amitverma, I think this is the first swift sedan photo we are seeing. BTW, where did you get it??

well i guess this should at least address to the rear passenger space in the swift. The c pillar looks wide enuff.
This sedan, if this is for real, is not beautiful, but at least does not look downright ugly as the indigo(yuck..what with that taillamp cluster)
Lets c what pics do we get from the auto expo this month in delhi.
i read a news on rediff yesterday which listed 24 cars to be unveiled and to be launched in 2008

Looks quite similar to SX4 from rear!

Hope that rear seats would be spacios now unlike Swift.

yep. I also think that it is the angle at which the photo is taken which is making car look ugly. Will have to wait for more photos to get the real feel.

To be honest it looks as out of place as the Indigo, if not more.
