Default Fiat - Indias commitment. Indian website bills unpaid!!

Our thanks to Team-BHPian "Satish_Appasani" for bringing this to our notice.

After screaming it out from the rooftops of how commited they are to the Indian market, Fiat - India finds it website ( www.fiat-india.com ) pulled off the net. Reason - Unpaid bills since one year!

This is one company that deserves to die. I mean, how careless and aloof could a mega-car company possibly be? First they lose their customers, then their dealerships (Shaman) and now their website hosting.

Its really sad to see Fiat in such state of affairs. Just recently they shut down theie dealership at Prabhadevi which now showcases Ford cars. I really doubt these claimas of improved service etc.. Fiat makes really good cars but its infrastructure is a lost cause . I now really dread to see them going the Daewoo way. Hope I'm wrong

SS,

They will HAVE to be company owned and managed cos no sensible businessman will want to invest in a Fiat dealership.

I just called the Fiat VCare (Do they really?) and asked them whether they have checked their site recently. They are unaware of this. They are in a very pity situation. Sometime ago, the Fiat VCare people gave me their regional office number for south India. When I call them, it is Sundaram Fiat in Bangalore. Is Fiat controlled by Sundaram?

I really don't want Fiat go down the drains. Both me and my Dad drive Fiats. I don't know what other car can replace my Palio D for around 5 lacs. God save Fiat.

When it comes to FIL, there are no limits on how many blunders one should commit. A recent survey shown a sizeable number of Palio owners are from IT sector, closing of site for such a ridiculous thing will further damage the ill image it carries 2day.

This is really really careless on Fiat's part. Sad to see such a good car manufacturer going down the drain.

Post website not updated

this doesn't really come as a surprise as they hadn't updated the website for a long time before it was taken down.
the Sienna was still being advertised on the website till long after it was discontinued.
there was no news about the introduction of the Petra & the discontinuation of the Palio 1.6.
i'd tried sending them emails regarding this but all in vain
