The ikon is a pretty good car i wouldnt want to see it replaced as it is one of the few drivers cars in a budget.
I think ford should launch the focus between the fusion and mondeo.
Oh and some SUVs too.
But this is about ford launching jaguar so lets stick to that.
I personally like the X type.

The X type is basically a Ford Mondeo under a Jag body

Its still a good car for a person wanting a classy sporty car and wants more space then a C-Class.
Maybe it will pull in more sales then the mondeo too.

The X-type isn't a bad car if you just want to drive. However, its reliability is nothing to write home about. I don't think Jaguar will launch the X-Type till they've sorted its problems out. They don't want create a bad image in a sensitive market like India with unreliable cars.
The current models have either FWD or AWD. Jaguar is experimenting and planning to launch a RWD model because that's how it's supposed to be in a Jag. Look at all the BMWs, Mercs and other Jaguars.

I think the biggest problem is that everyone knows it is a Mondeo underneath!
reliability wise, it is not too bad. The 4wd was a short cut to avoid the fwd image. Wht they should do is retain the 4wd but make it rear biased
