Well the rear is much more look-able than the current one, but the front end takes some time to get used to.

The front looks really great, slightly bending towards Maserati type grill. But the rear looks absolutely smashing and now gels really well with the car.

What on earth is Ford thinking? Why would they wait till Q2 2013 to launch this facelift? The sales of the new fiesta in india are a joke and by the time they bring in this facelift, the competition would have already made enhancements to their offerings. The new City will come in by end of 2013, the new SX4 would be out, the Verna would be facelifted (and going by hyundais aggressive strategy, offer touchscreen infotainment).

I agree,if Ford had moved really fast we could have had it by this year end/early next year.I think Ford is delibrately delaying it so as not to take the spotlight away from Ecosport.Two major launches(yes two,Fiesta facelift is probably the last hope for this gen fiesta in India) at almost the same time wouldn't make sense for them.Also maybe Ford hopes to cash in on the popularity of Ecosport(if that is the case) to sell the new Fiesta!!

Honestly they have made the rear look better but the front looks like a cheap imitation of Aston Martin atleast in pictures.Hope Ford retains the current look for the front!!

Wow thats a serious interior upgrade. Wonder if these will make it to India.
Ford really needs to fast track this car into India. I cant seem to understand why they are waiting. The Ford Fiesta is a huge flop and the longer the current stays, the worse it will be for brand image.

On another note, has anyone seen a car revive in the market after being termed a flop. Has a facelift ever bought a car some renewed lease of life in the Indian market ? I think in India, once a car is tagged as a flop, no one ends up buying one.

It is indeed. The mobile key-pad inspired dash is gone, and overall the updates look good.

I am not sure how credible is the information, but when I was in India in January, the dealer in my place mentioned that the next-in-line project (after the Ecosport launch) is the revival of the Fiesta. They mentioned that the interior styling, much-maligned backseat, headrests etc. will get an update. I feel the Fiesta has a future if they bring in the updates without any change to the existing price point.

The first interior picture is that of the 2014 ford fiesta model.The current china model's interior especially the dash, appears to have retained the older appearance.

But the ST variants especially the Focus ST does have a newer design but at a premium price tag 259,800 RMB to 265,800 RMB.So we are talking about a 22 + Lakh segment in India. India doesn't seem to have a market for the ST variants.

Well, you’re right. It needs to be seen if the Fiesta can come out those perceptions and negative publicity. One point to note is, the 2013 Fiesta in quite fully redesigned inside out, and may have new engine options like the 1.0 Ecoboost. I have seen the new Fiesta hatchback, and much say that it looks very fresh.

The interior looks like its expensive to make. If Ford could not price the Fiesta at competitive levels with the rubbish quality that they have on offer in the current one, i wonder how they could sell this interior and exterior package at the price of a Verna or City.
