re: Renault Fluence - Facelift - Scoop - facelifted versions spied

Is this the reason behind the latest 1.2 Lakh discounts? I guess Fluence is a CKD and hence once the current stocks dries out they will have to bring the new shape. But seriously how the 1.2 Lakh discount is going to push the sales to clear the current stock is a big question.

Renault Fluence Facelift Pic and Engine options:
Fluence facelift has two versions viz. the Latin American and the European version. The Latin American version now shares its grill with Koleos and went on sale in September 2012. It retains the same 2.0 Petrol engine (but there is a ECU remap).

The European version, with all new Renault signature grill and new 1.6 petrol and 1.6 diesel engines is being showcased tomorrow (02-Nov-2012) in Istanbul, Turkey and will go on sale by January 2013.

European (possibly Indian) version:

Engines:

Petrol:
Quote:
The Fluence, in petrol guise will be powered by a new 1.6 16V 115 petrol engine mated to the new X-Tronic CVT automatic transmission. Renault says this engine and transmission combination offer a “significant reduction in fuel consumption” to 6.4 liters/100km, while CO2 emissions are down 15% to 149 grams per kilometer.
Diesel:
The engine range includes 2 diesels :-
1. dCi 110 EDC (Efficient Dual Clutch): 1.5 Litre (K9K) - 110 BHP - 240 NM

2. dCi 130 : 1.6 Litre - 130 BHP - 320 NM

It's gonna be launched here in 2014 only. (expect a launch in first half of 2014)

Will they take 18 months or so to get rid of CKD Stocks? Must have seriously overestimated demand in India and imported too many kits !!
Cant believe they will wait till 2014 though !! Wont an all new Fluence be due in 2014 considering this car has been in global markets since 2009 !

Just came across the video ad for facelifted Renault Fluence. I like the ad! It looks so much better than current one. Hope Renault launches it sensibly & at the earliest.

Are they still giving only 1.2L discount? Anything more?

Note the side cladding. Could not see rear view though.

Wow .. It looks more aggressive now. Fluence is already a looker & becomes more muscular with this new Face in my opinion. I always liked this car. Its quite different from all other cars in the market. Didn't like the big black cladding though, may with body color it will look better. Hope they have changed interiors as well for good. This is one of my dream cars for sure

Re: Renault Fluence - Facelift - Scoop - facelifted versions spied

Will be interesting to see the price at which Renault will launch this.. Current D-segment sedans all all good looking IMO, be it Altis, Civic, Laura, Cruze..but they've got strong brands behind them.

With Duster-phoria gradually cooling down, will help Renault to price the car sensibly and gradually rake in more numbers to support momentum gained by Duster.

The Indian model spotted below seems to have cut down on:
  1. Sunroof
  2. Different Alloys &
  3. Looks like No Projector lamps
Nice to see DRL's making it through.

Interiors in the Euro spec Fluence version look stylish and could help differentiate the car amongst other D-segment competitors, especially with Nav system.

Renault should also consider offering a fully loaded model with Sunroof + Navigation + Euro spec interiors + Projector Lamps + Automatic Diesel + More vibrant colors.

I love the way Fluence looks.. (A bit Jaguar-esque from the rear).
Fluence is strongly in contention for my next buy, however those interiors could make / break the deal.

Re: Renault Fluence - Facelift - Scoop - facelifted versions spied

While the front looks a whole lot better, I'm not sure that's enough to inject much life into what has unfortunately been a sales dud for Renault. The interiors of the existing Fluence seemed to put off a lot of potential buyers despite the fact that if you were chauffeur driven it was probably the best D-segment car for you amongst the Cruze-Altis-Laura-Civic-Jetta options.
Leaving a small minority aside, the Fluence never really tugged at anyone's heartstrings the way a car should - they need to be a little savvier with their marketing and a little more aggressive with their styling, for starters.
The Altis diesel is proof that power isn't everyone's number-one priority, but at the end of the day I'm sure people factor that in somewhere into their calculations.

Looks nice. Hope they do add the projectors etc. Cant skip when competition has those!

And I guess if they had priced it right and with a better engine, it would have sold better.

Motorbeam reports that Renault will launch the new Fluence in India by end of this September. There is no official word about this.

My folks are watching Star Plus and there is a show Star Guild awards right now.

They just showcased the Renault Fluence Facelift along with TV ad. It has projector lights and the new grill.

Before the Koleos there was a dance number which had the female dancer on the hood of the Fluence. I don't remember the actress but I noticed the facelifted Fluence.
