Oh man! That' bad. Apparently, he lost his footing in the garden of his house in Italy.

I hope he recover from this before long and well.

This is bad news!

But, even before this accident, was he really in contention for a driver's seat in 2012?

Had Renault confirmed that Kubica would be racing this season?

Apparently No! His contract ended in December 2011. He himself said that he would not be fit for the start of 2012 season.

I guess rallying has put his F1 career sideways!

Marussia test driver Maria de Villota has lost her right eye after undergoing surgery following her testing accident. Sad news indeed.

Have immense respect for Kubica but his comeback to Renault is going to be hell of a task ! There are 2 factors that worry me :-
1. Who would be replace ? Grosjean and Kimi both are doing great and getting stronger by the race .
2. After any massive accident, the race pace of the driver gets impacted - would Kubica be any different ? Most recent example is Massa .

I hope that Kubica returns to his earlier form - a great talent

Kubica would easily be quicker than Grosjean, historically ofcourse.
Dont think he'l make it back in the near future though.. there was talk about if he could EVER make it back to F1. Sad. For any racing series in the world, F1 is the most physically intensive by a long way.

Massa's lack of pace is not down to his accident.. just not been able to get on top of the tires. The Ferrari was probably the worst handling car in the paddock. Now since they have improved it, you will notice Massa is much closer to the pace.

What is he doing testing a rally car ?
I don't think he's gotten too rusty to drive a f1 car. Hope he gets a full time drive in 2013. He would take just as long as Kimi did to get back to his winning form.

If Kimi moves out of Lotus next year (speculation), there is a candidate for Lotus, equally good. If Kimi does not move out, can Kubica be a candidate at Ferrari?

No idea on who is going where. Alonso and Kubica are great friends though.
