Wow! He got serious injuries in a rally accident and now he's back to rallying. That's real mental strength. I hope he recovers completely and gets a chance in F1 again. Superb stuff there!

Apparently, his right hand has limited mobility now and he was using a paddle shifter on the left, than the right.
He's made a statement that 2013 would not be his year of return and that things are looking good for 2014.
But, I'm really not confident that a man with limited mobility on the right hand can have the millisecond reflexes and inputs that are needed for racing an F1 car. Let's first see if he gets back his F1 super license.

Kubica had another crash in San Martino rally. He is reportedly alright.

Amazing to see him back again after his horrible crash last year. However I think he is still far from F1 comeback. Who knows he might surprise everyone.

Former Formula One driver Robert Kubica will drive a Citroen in the European and world rally championships this year as he continues his comeback from a near-fatal rally accident.The Pole, who last raced in Formula One in 2010, said he had decided on a programme that will include seven rounds of the world championship in the WRC2 category starting in Portugal next month.
"I'm really pleased now to be able to return to top-level racing," the former BMW-Sauber and Renault grand prix driver, who recently tested a Mercedes DTM touring car, said in a Citroen statement.Citroen said the governing International Automobile Federation (FIA) had given special dispensation for Kubica's car to be fitted with a paddle shift gearbox.
The paddle will be installed to the left of the steering wheel, making it easier for Kubica who suffered severe hand and arm injuries in a crash while competing in a minor rally in Italy in February 2011.
The Pole, who has competed in several minor rallies as part of his rehabilitation, will also enter this month's Rally Canary Islands, part of the European Rally Championship.

Okay, let's be realistic here.

This guy is a gone case. Damn shame, and damn horrible luck. Don't know how he could be so careless though. Now Kimi's doing the same.

Don't be that hard on him. Most racing drivers are highly passionate beings driven by the thrill of speed and racing. So, they need their fix from time to time.

Kubica was in a FIA spec professional rally car and it was a freak accident. Most times, the driver would walk out of a wreck in a rally car with just a concussion. This was hard luck. The armco penetrated the car's cockpit and did the damage, and his navigator was unscathed.
