Hi GeekSrik,
If it matters, a few Petras are still available with Fiat. In fact they have a few hundred(!) Petra Diesels in their factory. They do not know what to do with them.

That is I believe, quite easy to deal with. Their problem is they are Fiat, and so are not able to decide what to do. So the cars just lie there and lose whatever value they have.

I am late to see this thread.
I completely agree with Petra's capabilities on highway or anywhere else.
I have done a lot of hoghway driving, hill climbing(Kalhatti ghats), off roading(shiradi ghats), and lot of abuse of the car too... Petra has withstood all the tests so far..

BTW, 15.5 is an amazing FE, I couls never manage to get more than 14.4.

After owning petra for nearly 3 years, I tend to dis agree with part availability, I got all the parts I needed in time, except the driver side sun visor which I am still waiting for.

Watch out for 50K review of my petra soon..

Enjoy your ride!!

Hi DRC, that was then, this is now. Nowadays I drive with quite a heavy foot, and on my Bombay Dandeli Bombay drive, a total of 1254 km, I did an FE of 12.5kmpl. Of course, I did high rpms and reasonably high speeds, rarely falling below 100. So, I am happy. Anyway, third service is due. Some cleaning up will improve performance at least slightly.

Yes I love my petra too

Hi Prabhudagg,

nice review of the petra. I drive my black beauty everyday on palmbeach from Kharghar, and then on some bad potholed roads to Mahape. She is an absolute pleasure to drive. She actually makes me feel I should have become a race car driver:-).
I have completed 24700KMs in 2 years and her b'day is coming up on November 9th. I hope she grows old nicely:-)

Hi Shbhrao,
My only gripe is so few people in the country, and even on Team-bhp know how great this car is. You and I are part of the lucky few.
