Urgent help-Tacho

Hi!
I want to install a tacho in my 2001 matiz. But hydra has informed me that the tacho shows only half RPM in dual coil ignition cars. Does the matiz have dual coil ignition? or does it have a tacho out from the ECU? will installing the tacho affect the ECU in any way? Pls help me out on this.

Whoops! JayD, I was talking about the Autoguage Tacho in my car (Palio 1.2), not all Tachos in general

Yup! i kow that, and there are tacho's for dual coil cars too. Just wanted to know if the matiz has a dual coil ign. Thats all!

There are tach adapters being sold for around 60$.
