Finally the Zen goes for a long overdue mod job!

It's been four - maybe five - years since I've been posting (not too frequently) in this forum about modding my Zen, but this morning I decided it was about bloody time I did it.

The Zen will go when the new City comes in early next year, but I'm not going to let it fade away. I'm going to make it look so good, I'd probably change my mind and keep a 3rd car :-)

I'll do this in steps.

Firstly, get the car all fixed and tidied up.

Then, the new bumpers and skirts and spoilers etc.

Then a nice paint job. I'm thinking of borrowing the Swift or Mini Cooper style and going with a white top and a color on the rest of the car.

I moved the nice alloys I had got for the Zen to the Esteem, so maybe I'll consider new wheels too, but I'm not too keen on spending a whole lot of dough on that.

I'll go with new lights.. HIDs..

I'm considering coloring the dashboard too.. beige? Is that possible? Has anyone done it?

And oh yeah.. this is really just a cosmetic mod.. I'm not looking at getting any more HP from the car...

It should be ready in about two weeks. I'll post pics

Wish me luck!

change in plans...

Some change in plans...

Instead of stock bumpers with add-on skirts, I'm going to get a custom-made set of single-piece bumpers for the Zen.

Beige PU leather coating on the dashboard and other interior parts is a go.

Yeah? Okay.. if I have some dough left, maybe i'll E-Zen it... jesal will jump in joy!

I'll post pics when it goes into the pre-paint stage. Right now, it's the dents and other stuff that's being fixed.

Any idea how much a RIO kit for the zen costs? Any other such kits? Does anyone have RIO's phone number?

EDIT: RIO address - Solitare Building, Nargis Dutt Road, Pali hill, Bandra West - got it!

If you doing so much for your car, why dont you consider FFE and performace filter? Just a mild mod. There should be something under the hood when you plan to modify such a wonderful car. BTW what model is it?

Just my thoughts, no offence meant!

You better think this out first. It will be money down the drain.....the used market gives peanuts toward actual value of modifications.

Yeah.. I decided to stay away from the Rios and all that.. and went with regular off-the-shelf skirts for the zen.

The car is still being painted. It took me a while to decide the color. It's a bit of an off-beat color, but I think with with I have in mind, it should look nice, if not fantastic.

By the way, dad chickened out of buying the new City, so the Zen will stay for a little longer, at least until I have enough ca$h to buy the A-Star

The car is almost done!

Should take around four more days.

I was too busy to post step-by-step pics, though I did take them.

So I'll post them soon...
