Grab it! before doing that, check with the service station for the vehicle history. Mitsubishi's don't command good resale value in the market. This is a steal! Wish I had that much of moolah.

Don't forget to take a real long test drive before finalizing the deal to check for some issues!!

We are almost in 2009, so value the car would soon be a three year old model. Something in the 5.25L range would make financial sense to me.

yeah close the deal somewhere b/w 5.25 to 5.50L. Make sure the owner has complete service record and also you can take the car to mitsubishi for a thorough checkup. Also when you TD the car keep the music off and listen to all the sounds such as engine, suspension, NVH level, door and instrumental panels. Any rattling should be looked into as it can get annoying during the ownership. Also suspension should be thoroughly checked as well as all the elctricals of the car. You can also negotiate on such basis.
Btw its a very good driver's car.

thanx for the reply guys,
I agree with you manson and asheesh that the price should be around 5.25l. I will go for the test drive today but the guy isnt really ready for a negotiation as he said he bought it for 11.5 in 2006.

And would be foolish to buy a 3 yrs old cedia for 6 as a friend of mine bought a 2 years old cedia in august for 6.10 lacs. but since the price of the new cedia's gone up, wanted to check with you guys.
Will post you updates after the test drive.

thanxs and cheers

Slightly off-topic, but I had a question for you guys.

Are the Cedias in India made locally or in Japan?

Don't think white is a standard Sports colour. Did the owner make a request to HM-Mitsu through the dealer to get one made? Ensure that it was a factory modification and not anything related to aftermarket.

Also drive down the price that extra bit saying that it's not even a standard colour/variant combination!

Only the initial batches were CKD's assembled in India with parts from Japan.

After that they were indigenous. Almost 80-85% is local parts now.

And so have the discounts, factor in the recent 4% price cut too. Good luck with the purchase, a white Cedia Sports is a gorgeous set of wheels to have in your garage.

A 6 month old Cedia Sports (July08) which did 1500km on odo was offered to me at 8Lacs.
Just imagine.6L for 2006 model is too high...i would recommend to hammer it to 5L

Guys,
went to see the cedia today, it infact is in mint condition, looks brand new.

Although as compared to the new cedia which I drove a few months back, i could feel that the clutch was slightly harder, on bumpy roads I could hear some noise from the dashboard (very minor though) and had a creaking noise from the seat belt buckle. the tires are half worn out.

Apart from this, the car was perfect, the guy looked very genuine and helped me in every way to know the car better. He gets a fuel average of around 12kmpl as he travels from south delhi to gurgaon.

But he is still not ready to negotiate, his last offering was 5.70L. I have offered him 5L and he completely refused. I guess he still want to have his car standing in the garage for some more time. He has already bought himself a brand new white accord and also have a red octavia RS.

Cedia Sports cost 11.5 OTR in 2006? IIRC was it not launched with 9.8L all India ex-showroom price? Was that for the regular variants?

Just put yourself in the other guys shoes and think. Selling a 11.5L car just for 5L is too much of a killing. It is almost 60% less. Generally cars loose about 40 - 50%.

I think you should just go for it if the car is good.
