They are not available as they have been discontinued long time back. You can get a second hand one.

They ARE available LBM. How many you want... 5, 10, 15, 20, 25??? that too with Bill and Warranty!

I think you have the numbers of Alpine dealers. Use a phone. Call them. If they don't cooperate for some reason, let me know... I will ask a dealer of ours to source them for you.

I know of a dealer who has 20 or more 501 amps in his stock. All ready to be sold and all with warranty!
1001s are available but will cost you a bit of a premium price tag. But even then it is worth that gem of an amp!

Hi Team-BHP,

My Audio Setup consists of:

1. Sony Player MEX R5 - 14000
2. Pioneer EQ 6500 - 8000
3. 8 Inch LCD Display Necvox - 5500
4. A Pair of speaker Rear Oval 6971 300 Watts - 3200
5. A Pair of component speaker Front Pioneer TS-C1002 - 3300
6. One pair of Tweeters BOSS - 650
7. One Sub Woofer TSW 305 - 3500
8. Two Amps - Sony XM552ZR – 8000 (For 2)
9. One Amp - Pioneer GM-3300T - 4500
10. One Amp – Pioneer GM 62 - 1500
11. Wires n cables - 6000
12. Some basic Damping - 5000

This is how i have connected, please see the fig below :



How much did it cost ?

Roughly 60000

How serious were your about your system?

Not very serious

Which kind of music do you listen to ?? prefer deep bass or how is it...

Any good music, prefer bass.

Would you recommend it to others???

Hertz esk 163 ( to be replaced by Rainbow Vanadium Profis 3 ways)
IDQ 10 SUB
Pioneer 6100F amp ( to be replaced soon )
Conection audiosn electricals and wiring
Damping..

How much did it cost ?
Lord only knows..ive lsot count


How serious were your about your system?

Not very serious

Which kind of music do you listen to ?? prefer deep bass or how is it...

Any good music except country,techno and himesh

Would you recommend it to others???

well i try not to be very serius abt it or it would consume my evey waking hour....

The ICE in my zen(2000) has the following:

1. Front - Sony xs-gf1622
2. Back - Pioneer ts-a6992
3. Woofer - Pioneer TS-W307D4 12" 1200 Watt Subwoofer
4. Amp - Sony 554
5. head unit - Kenwood DPX 701 Double Din HU with USB

Am planning to add another amp, a four channel to power my dual cone Sub. Any recommendations? Have already started a thread in Ask the Gurujis.

7. special y cable ->200

How much did it cost ?

Approximating to 25k (overshooted by 10grand)

a. HU: 12K (Without bill , with 3 months warranty), bought just now
(Chennai, Afra Car Jewels, T.Nagar)
b. CD Changer : 9.5 k (Bought in 2002) No bill/No warranty from Auto
World , J.C. Road, Bangalore
Components : 4.5K
Speakers : 3.5 k Bangalore National Market, 2001
Sub with Box : 4.2k
Necvox 7" LCD screen - 7.5k
Wires : 2.5k
Installation : 2.5k


Total 46 K (Including the cables, fittings & the tips)

Well, actually, thats a hard one.
I got the HU from some relatives in the US, paid 230$ for that.
The thing is that I am a student and share the car with my roomie. He has some uncle who has an audio shop/warehouse in delhi, i am sorry but i cant really disclose the details as to who he is[not that i know who he is :-) ]. So as of now, he has not asked for any money nor has he told us the price of anything.

A bit late to post the info here.
Installation happened in Sep 2006 as soon as I bought this car.
In Aug 07, went on to add an amp to it. Final config is as follows:

1. Car

Swift Vxi

2. What is your existing setup (HEADUNITS, SPEAKERS, AMPS, DSP,SW etc.)

HU : Pioneer 5850
Front : JBL GTO 607 Components
Rear : Blaupunkt IC 122 6.5”
Sub : Sony 1000w 12”

Amps :
1) Sony 552 - 2ch – for sub
2) Blaupunkt GTA 2(s) – for Front and Rear speakers

Connection : Pyle RCAs

3. How much did it cost?

28k approx

4.How serious were your about your system?

Pretty Serious

5. Which kind of music do you listen to?

All sorts – depends on my / co-traveller’s mood

6. would you recommend it to others?

Yes!

7. Place where the setup was done

Sachin’s Auto Shop, Koramangala
