Congrats on your buy.... This car is on my "To Buy" list along with a Subaru WRX STI.

Maybe a couple of years down the line, once I move here and make some money....

You should take it on the Austin - Houston highway where the speed limit is as high as 85mph. Perfect place to floor it and feel the adrenaline.

Safe & Happy Driving!!

What a car! You were very reasonable to choose the 5.0 variant over the 2015 one. Purely American muscle.

Added a few aftermarket parts to my car. Thought of updating this thread
- Shelby GT500 quad exhausts + rear valence
- GT500 spoiler
- Roush front spiltter
- Blacked-out hood vents (DIY)

I am not sure how i managed to miss this thread but as they say better late than never.

A great buy at a steal price, this is currently my personal favorite Amarican Muscle car. If I were to buy one, it would be the Mustang(though the new Camaro does sound promising).

The updates look good.

Did you pay a gas guzzler tax? And I am surprised no one asked the mileage question so i will do the honors What the city/highway mpg like?

Thanks No I did not have to pay gas guzzler tax as the 5.0 is not listed by EPA to qualify for that

As far as mileage is concerned, if I drive like an old man in the city it is 15mpg Otherwise, if driven like it should be it is 12-13mpg (thanks to the 3.73 gear ratio on my car). But highway mileage is a respectable 25mpg.

On another note, I add some more bits and did some DIY stuff.
- Lowering spring. Car sits 1.5" low now and finally loses than hideous 4x4 wheel gap
- Added panhard bar for added stability and re-centering of rear axle
- plastidiped rear GT logo black

Huh. I never noticed that the speedo is actually marked to a reasonable (and possibly real manufacturer limited 155mph) limit. I don't know of many cars that do that...

Except, of course, 80s US cars marked only till 85 because of some silly law

Well your car reminded me about the movie Gone in 60 seconds. Though the car in the movie was a 67 model but the name Mustang always reminds me of the raw power. The way you described the sound of the car just thrills me. I have never driven this car but it has been one of dream car's I would like to own. You are very lucky to possess such an amazing car and congrats that you have achieved it at such a young age. Hope you enjoy this car for many more miles to come.

Wow its a great car, I like the color its sparkling. Your mods are very reasonable and practical I like it. Just a thought and a question - Did you ever think of painting the two white stripe on the body from front to back, which I think is the traditional stripe of the Mustangs? I am asking this because in this striking blue color the white stripe will look beautiful. But yes as it is she looks amazingly beautiful. I am sure must be a pleasure to drive her around.

NEW MODS!!

Steeda Cold Air Intake with custom tune

This intake+tune combo gives me a gain of over 45hp with the total power now close to 470hp when running on 93 Octane, which I always do. The car isn't dyno'd yet so the numbers are just approximate.

Roush side skirts

This completes the look complementing the front and rear Roush splitters.

Now for some pictures
