Hope your son had a good time.
The baby hippo looks cute!
It is sad to see animals behind bars - they should be roaming around freely, but we humans have decided where the other animals should live. Such a shame.
Imagine seeing these animals in the wild! |
Yes. It was a good trip both my son and me had a good time, the only downside was walking the entire stretch and eatables are not allowed inside the zoo, so we were both tired and famished by the time we got out.
But then, the paranthas that we had packed tasted specially good after such a long walk!
Yes, animals behind bars is not good - but i think if they are cared for properly and basic amenities maintained - can still be ok. The things that i didnt like was leopards and Jaguars were inside small enclosures and not given a bigger area. Quote:

The lion in the pic looks sick. There one very good section of parrots/birds. I am not sure if you are going to cover that too. |
Thanls Taurean. We did go towards the parrots/birds section but somehow the enclosures are so badly lit that it is very difficult to take pictures so dont have their pics.
Last set of pics from the day Emu - this is the second largest bird in the world and a native of Australia Emu Colorful Emu Jaguar - they have been provided with small enclosures and it is wired from the top, not possible to take shots totally w/o obstruction The white blur in foreground is the fencing Jaguar Jaguar Leopard - even these are with small enclosures and wired from the top Leopard - closeup More pics of the leopard Good stare When i see these pics - captivity and longing are the thoughts that come to my mind, with a definite shape of the fencing in foreground
This concluded our trip to the zoo, the only "miss out" was royal bengal tigers - we couldnt find their enclosures, even went back once after taking some directions - but both of us were so tired that we simply gave it up after that. Came out to the parking and the first thing that we did was to break out the packed paranthas and devour them. The pleasure was simply sublime.
I think i made a mistake at the beginning of not booking seats on the battery operated vehicle that plys there. If we had done that we could have covered the distance in comfort.
Also - another thing was that the big cats were at the end of the tour, so by the time we got to them light was failing. Next time we will do the trip upside down.
Thanks for visiting the thread and liking it - means a lot and justifies the efforts put up!
