Default NH-4 Images(Chennai to Bangalore Highway)

All images were taken in TamilNadu leading upto the border town of Hosur. Some of the towns in TamilNadu that this highway bypasses are Vellore, Walajahbad, Ambur and Vaniyambadi. The scenery is breathtaking. Hope you enjoy looking at the pics as much as many of us in this part of the world enjoy driving on this highway.

We stopped at Yelagiri, a small hill station approx. 60km from Vellore and i was pleasantly surprised. It is quite cool up in the hills there. Chennai Bhp-ians should consider this place for the next meet. Will make for a great g2g and drive.

Great pix, driving must be a pleasure on this road apart from one odd village biker crossing paths.

These pics were taken on a Saturday. Not many criss-crossing traffic like on NH-45,and the highway has service lanes when crossing towns and they are barricaded to prevent jaywalking and crossings. There are a few crossings though.

More than a couple of pics i omitted to post!. The 1st pic is of the busiest stretch of NH-4 just outside Chennai city limits leading up to the sprawling Hyundai car plants and the Madras Motor Sports Club Track approx 35km from where i took this pic . This side of the highway is heavily industrialized and therefore has a high density of truck traffic to navigate through.

@nickatnite: Walajahbad in on the other side of Kanchipuram (between NH-4 and NH-45). You must be referring to Walajapet.
