Re: The White Travelogue - Kalpa-Sangla-Narkanda

That's a lot of snow you saw up at Kalpa! When we went up to Narkanda in January-end, the road was reportedly closed after Rampur.

Indeed . Pinks, greens, mauve, rust - all kinds of colours.

Its going to be white even in mid march, going to Sangla valley? Be aware that that there is no running water atleast in Kalpa.
Seeing your photographs , its worth visiting and with taking the pain.
Superb photos. Kinner Kailash range looks simply awesome.

How far can you go at this time of the year? Tabo/Pin Valley/Kaza?
Road till kaza is kept open throughout the year. Only temporary blockades are there

Rampur and beyond does not get any snow. Infact till you cross Kinnaur, you do not get any snow on NH22.
However, it closes sometimes for a short while due to landslides, but such closure is more common in monsoon season
As for "repotedly", when we were at kufri we were told that road to narkanda is closed etc., etc., but usually such talk is utter BS

This thread is amazing and this is heaven. I am a sucker for the hills in the north and with the slightest sight of snow, i come closer to attaining Nirvana

These pics are what one would term to be delicious

I am keenly taking down the details of this thread, as I would fit it into our next snow caper

Tanveer Bhai, excellent pics. But tell me one thing, do you have a character called as a Boss at your workplace or you are one of those lucky ones who doesn't?

Re: The White Travelogue - Kalpa-Sangla-Narkanda

One word, Awesome!

I'm drooling seeing so much snow but knowing that can't get there makes me feel helpless

BTW I have two questions for you:
  1. Which company do you work for?
  2. Are there any positions in marketing. I'm willing to relocate to Delhi:

Are you sure its just 10 CLs or does your company promote WFH/Remote beautiful places that de-stress the mind

Cheers
