Which alloys are these ?

Hi,

I got a used Scorpio with these alloys. Is it possible for any one to identify them, the make or any other information from the pictures below. The rim size is 15".

Also, as you can see the chrome is in bad shape. Should I go for plating or just paint them? I understand re plating does'nt last long.

Thanks in advance.

Get them painted in high temperature hyper silver.they will look good and the finish will last forever if taken care.chrome is not advised.they simply at most last only an year in most cases.

Thanks navpreet for the advice. When you say "high temperature hyper silver", is this a special "process" or is it done by the local painter chaps by giving them some special instructions?

no high temperature paint is different from your regular paint.the point is that the heat generated from your brakes is dissipated through the alloys also.so you need to have high temp paint or else it will just wither off.
and high temperature paint is available off the shelf in most of the paint shops.i'm not that much informed that i can give you a name or something but i'm sure some other members here know about alloy paint.
in delhi there are people who use some special alloy paint and touchup any
alloys.down there i don' know.
