The pic that you have attached looks like a C or E variant.

If you have a vehicle that needs this, pls PM me.

Re: Vintage & Classic car parts info

Some 15 years back I was inspecting a premises in Chennai to take on lease. Turned out to be a Auto Spares dealer was closing shop. While the purpose of my going there did not materialise, I did end up picking up his stock of Pistons / Rings / Engine Bearings / Gaskets, etc; mostly for 50s British Cars. There were also brand new carbs - Zenith C1246, Solex LC67 (26AC), Weber 85592 (281CP3). My invitation to interested enthusiasts was to check personally if what they needed was available and a friend even found a set of pistons for his M.G !!!. Not sure if I can scan the list -15 pages. Ideal if anyone is interested in the entire stock & help enthusiasts with parts otherwise difficult to source.

Sudarshan you maybe correct there. did the hanseat bajaj have a copy of the DKW engine? It looks so similar. I had a owners manual too. In 1977 someone put the hanseat engine on a motorcycle and raced it at Juhu. I think Harit's photo is missing the coils etc... as shown in this engine Vintage & Classic Car Parts-untitled.jpg which is supposed to be a DKW

That is the engine from the HANSEAT tempo the 3 wheeler front wheel drive transport vehicle that was the predecessor of the Matador.
You can still find many of these vehicles in rural Maharashtra though they have been desielised.
If the engine is for sale I am interested to take it

Re: Vintage & Classic car parts info

While i was at a friend's workshop the other day he showed me he had picked up about 50 pairs of Fiat lenses made in Italy which are of no use to him.

The lenses are similar to the pic attached from Sonu's thread. These are Unused. They would cost about Rs.800per pair.

If anyone is interested please let me know and i am willing to help.

I am looking for a Solex 30PAAI single barrel down draught carburetor. If you have it in stock i would love to have it. It was common on some of the Mercedes 219 & 220S.

Please also beware of people on team-bhp claiming to buy bulk parts, making committments and then not paying up on time. Have faced this a number of times.

Regards

Ahaa a moris minor...nice car, my dad had one in the late 60's early 70's. I'm sure I have 8 valves in one of the steel trunks in my garage. He had overhauled the engine back then and this must have been surplus.
