Renault Lodgy booking amount pegged at Rs. 50,000

Renault is gearing up to launch the Lodgy MPV in India. Dealers have started accept bookings for the vehicle. The booking amount has been pegged at Rs. 50,000. According to the dealer we contacted, this amount is not fully refundable.

The Lodgy features a boxy body and is available as a 7 or 8-seater. It is powered by the same 1.5-litre diesel engine that is used in the Duster. It will be available in both, 85 PS and 110 PS states of tune. It will also carry over the same 5-speed and 6-speed manual transmissions of the Duster.

The Renault Lodgy's rivals will include the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Honda Mobilio, Chevrolet Enjoy, Mahindra Xylo and Toyota Innova.

The launch date of the Lodgy is speculated to be in the first week of April. Renault has not declared any official date as yet.
