Suzuki eWX EV design patented in India

The Suzuki eWX EV could compete with the Tata Tiago EV and MG Comet EV.

Maruti Suzuki has filed a design patent for the Suzuki eWX EV in India.

The Suzuki eWX concept was unveiled at the 2023 Tokyo Motor Show. It is a small hatchback measuring 3.4 meters in length.

The eWX features a quirky tall-boy design. The boxy hatchback has a vertical front fascia, squared-off wheel arches and a window line with rounded edges.

Suzuki hasn’t revealed the technical details of the eWX. However, given its size, the production version could use a single-motor setup with the battery providing a range of around 230 km on a single charge.

Maruti Suzuki is rumoured to introduce the eWX-based electric hatchback in India sometime around 2026-27. The new entry-level EV is likely to compete with the Tata Tiago EV and MG Comet EV.
