Third generation BMW X5 to be launched on 29 May

BMW India have officially announced that they will be launching the new X5 on 29th May, at Pune.

If you've visited BMW India's website recently, you would have noticed that the X5 is not listed anymore. But post May 29th, it will make a reappearance. Codenamed as the F15, this is the third generation BMW X5. The new X5 is expected to be rolled out with the same 3.0 litre engine which powers the BMW 530d. It will produce 258 BHP of power.

Assembled as a CKD in India, the new X5 is larger than the previous version, and lighter too. It will be available in 5-seater and 7-seater variants. The new X5 was also on display at the 2014 Auto Expo at Noida.
