Re: Bangalore Annual Offroading Event - January 2013

Dear Offroaders,

As we are including more safety measures and systems in place for this event, we organizers have proposed to introduce Photo ID lags for all participants. The implement this, we are insisting on 2 copies of latest passport sized photographs from each of the participant. Please ensure you bring along the same without fail.

In case you are unable to bring the photographs, we would be arranging a photographer on spot to generate Poloroid photos. The cost of the same shall be borne by individual participants.

Also, please note that there will not be any spot registrations as we have to freeze the number of participants before 10th jan.

Participants requested to appreciate the concern and co-operate with the Organizing team to deliver best.

Warm regards,
On behalf of Bangalore Offroaders.

ML 350?! Hope the owner knows what he is getting into??? I feel he should be prepared for some major $$$ repairs, if he is planning to drive it on all obstacles.

Are you kidding?! With utmost care also the vehicles will wear scars, unlike last time it might not be scratches like previous years. The obstacles will definitely be quite impossible on a vehicle like MB. Unless they decide to sit out from those.

Re: Bangalore Annual Offroading Event - January 2013

Vish,

It would be difficult for ML 350 to be put in serious offroading. However the driver has been warned of potential damages and blocking for other offroaders. We are limiting that vehicle to one particular trail with a caution that if the vehicle does no cope up with terrain, have to be parked aside to enable event go on smooth.

I feel that Endeavour too can indulge in offroading of selected trail with above caution.

Hope you will enjoy the event.

Thanks Dwaraka, I will surely indulge in offroading on that trail. For the other trails I will hop into the other chennai Jeeps. I think I should cope a bit better than the ML 350 though. I've been giving these Jeep boys a good run for their money

The SUVs can be close to the end of the pack so as to not block the other Jeepers. Looking forward to a spectacular event. You have really set the bar high after your last event.

PS. Any photos from the recces?

Get your Endy. There will be enough opportunity to do offroad in it -- if not all the sections. You could try taking a different route at some places, if possible. We will do it in a way that it doesn't block rest of the convoy.

Here are some pics of the resort where we all will be staying & few of the trail pictures
