There is no comparison chaudh2s. It was just to check if it was only the wheelbase of the v-cross that resulted in it getting stuck. It is quite apparent from the videos that it was due to the long wheelbase. The Thar having the shortest wheelbase crossed it in 2WD mode, the Bolero being longer got stuck and had to engage 4 WD. The TUV could not make it as the sidestep would have got stuck.
Also for your info, the approach angle taken by the Bolero and Thar were not different from that taken by the v-cross and the concrete slab did not make any difference to the outcome.

The question is would the TUV300 have made it without the sidestep ?

The word you guys are looking for is "Ramp Over Angle" or "Break Over Angle"

A short wheelbase usually gives a better ramp over angle than a longer wheelbase vehicle. Larger tyres or suspension lift will also improve it.

One can see similar Youtube videos of international version of V-cross doing better just because of the presence of proper Differential Lock system, which comes by default in it.

Yes, I believe the vehicle is sold with a lockable differential too straight from the factory.

For India this has been skipped to keep the cost low.

That said, for people who really want/need it - it is possible to install aftermarket diff locks at a price.

Probably something most weekend warriors can skip though.
