Roar To Explore- Season 1:



We are pleased to announce Roar To Explore , Season-1, a first of its kind Off-roading event in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. It will be a tailor made track type setup which will include technical obstacles, challenges to be completed by each participants.

This event will be a blend of competitive as well Vibrant experience for the participants and is aimed to bring together the experienced and the novice 4X4 owners. The winners and runners up will be rewarded with attractive prizes in each category.

Registration fee:

a) Rs. 2500 per vehicle upto 2 participants if registration is completed on or before 30th September, 2022.
b) Rs. 2999 per vehicle upto 2 participants for registration done from 1st October, 2022.
c) additional person Rs. 500 (registration fee will include Morning Snacks, Lunch and high tea).
d) Additional set of merchandise can be availed at a cost of Rs. 500 per person.

Categories (only 4X4/AWD):

a) Stock (3 door cars)
b) Modified (3 door/5 door)
c) LWB (4/5 door cars)

For Reference:

a) 3 door cars such as Thar/Gypsy/Gurkha
b) 4/5 door cars such as Fortuner/Isuzu/Endeavor/Jeep compass/Duster/Alturas and similar cars with 4x4 or AWD setup
c) Any modifications excluding cosmetic modifications, will be considered in modified category.

Yes you can attend the event as a viewer, the registration fee for the same shall be Rs.500 per person. The registration fee will include Morning Snacks, Lunch and High Tea.

You can register by transferring the amount through UPI on 8866664685 (Gpay/Phonepe).

The track will have the facility on sidelines for viewers to view the rounds. The location of the event is accessible by 4x2 cars.

Important Note: This event is open for all Brands/Make Cars having a 4X4 or AWD system.

Event Report



The Roar To Explore event (Season-1) concluded on a successful note, we saw good turn out of 45 participants across all categories with more than 50% participation in the stock category.

We had prepared a series of 15 Obstacles from moderate, technical to the hard ones. The competition format was on point basis, each obstacle carried 10 points on completion in 1st attempt, 5 points in 2nd attempt and NIL after that.

Each obstacle was curated through multiple trials involving different set of cars in order to make it more interesting yet safe to attempt. The format was not time based hence, the participants had to use a combination of their technical skills and presence of mind to clear the obstacles in a single attempt.

The winners and runners-up in all the categories were awarded with useful prizes, below are the cars which took the podium:

Stock Category:

Winner: Thar 2020 Diesel AT
Runner up: Thar 2020 Diesel Manual









Modified Category:

Winner: Thar 2020
Runner up: MS Gypsy









LWB Category:

Winner: Pajero SFX
Runner up: Nissan Patrol









The winners got a Rs. 21,000 voucher from Yokohama for tyre purchase and the Runner up were awarded with Synthetic Oil from Motul.

We had a special guest up for a demo during the jury round, a custom built Toyota Hilux which was offered by DJ Auto Haus (Toyota Dealer based in Ahmedabad) and it was also kept on display to give the enthusiasts a chance to explore the beauty of it. Nevertheless the Hilux did all the obstacles without a fuss and even better the V-Cross, the only downside was the departure angle and ramp over angle, which is quite obvious for a truck of this size. However, rock sliders and rear bumper protection kit will do the job perfectly on this.











The event was well supported by a handful of brands namely Yokohama, Motul and Monster Energy, including some of the local brands such as Bhavani Motorcraft and Throttleart motorcycle shop.

The OCG (Off-road club of Gujarat) members led by bhpian AVR supported the event whole heartedly by volunteering in the Jury panel and also helping with the recovery of stuck vehicles.
