Keeping aside some of the references to illegal speeds that he may have done in your younger years, he seems to be quite knowledgeable about the machines and also advocates safe driving/rallying  |

WLL or SWL (Safe Working Load) for metal shackles is set for max static load. For shackles this isn't taking into account (DAF) - dynamic amplification factors like snatches. Ideally, avoid snatching with metal shackles for this reason. You don't want a 2 kg projectile flying at you. Thus, we choose shackles with WLL or at least 2 to 3 times the weight of the vehicle and that too from a recommended brand which builds in a factor of 5 times breaking limit on top of the WLL. | |
