YouTube - Awesome Off Road Truck Video
Yup, Tatras rule offroad, no other vehicle in their class can come close. This company won Dakar 6 times, and its trucks dominate Europa Truck Trial events. Tatra used to make some revolutionary cars before the war such as T77, T67 and T97. The VW Type 1 was owes its design and layout to the Tatra T97.

You'll find more Tatra videos in my earlier post in this thread.

Hi Alder,

Nice videos of off roading. I own a gypsy and have been engaged in 4 WD from Bangalore. We have two clubs viz., Jeep thrills and Suzuki_gypsy-india in yahoogroups. All about 4 WD adventures on Jeeps and gypsies. Check out and become an active member. Jeepthrills - Pune chapter is organising an Off roading event in July this year , which will be participated by pune, mumbai and goa jeepers/gypsyers.

Contact them and rock.

warm regards,
Dwarak

A 4x4 is Born

There was this series on Discovery T&L sometime ago. Name of the show A 4x4 is Born
link to the website i2i television :: A 4x4 is Born :: Discovery Home and Leisure
I downloaded the complete series from Mininova The size is about 2.53 GB

heres a small summary on the show

"Mechanical genius Mark Evans dusts off his overalls and introduces Discovery Home and Leisure and i2i television's latest 'is Born' series 'A 4x4 is Born'.

This series transforms an old rust-bucket Range Rover into the ultimate bolder-crawling beauty! The 1985 Range Rover is converted into a one off 100 inch wheelbase hybrid as a tribute to 25 special vehicles that Landrover built for the French and Swiss armies in the late seventies.

In the first episode, Mark cleans off the grime off his donor car & checks the health of the mechanical parts. Meanwhile, in the regular feature, '4x4 Extreme', we see an extreme hybrid V8 car in off-road terrain."
