Diesel Gypsy report

The 1.7 nissan was a dream. Reliability of a Gypsy with the torque of the diesel. One Mod actuall said "this is the best gypsy I have ever driven, now I want one exactly the same"... and this guy was the winner of the BEST JEEP at the Rajputana Jeep Show! What can I say, best comment I ever heard.
Great bunch of people I must say - the NIOC guys. Nice too meet up with Torquative and Arjun (Toyota LC) great chef for the barbeque. Hats off to the man to put his TLC through all that punishment!!cheers:
Now for some pics. Sorry guys, we were so engrosed in the high action areas that we forgot to take pics. These are the more relaxed terrains.

Awesome,...you got the night fording shots as well. These guys have some nerve to be tackling this in the darkness of the night,..I guess they knew this terrain well,..and they have the VERY Old Monk on their side for Good luck as well

GoSlow,..where are you man !!

I must add this Nissan Diesel Gypsy did the entire route (all three trials) without missing a beat !! The best part,... no weird viberations as well. Almost seemed like they were mated at the factory !!

Some more pics of the OTR from my side. A li'l secret here. The first jeep that got stuck in the river crossing at the lake was running 2h when it attempted that run as the driver in excitement forgot to put it in 4. Only when he got completely bogged down did he shift to 4 and got out gracefully.

cheers

Gotcha! Dude you are a very good 4x4 driver! Really admired your dad as well. what was that jeep he was driving in the mush pit? Looked like something he bought from a farmer! I was amazed at the stuff he did with that jeep man. He is also an excellent off-roader! cheers:

Mine does'nt over heat as much !!

Anyways let you little one get older and your wife should calm down as well. I am seriously looking at getting her along for an OTR even if I dont stay till late !!

I see this as something the whole family could be a part of.
Where else do you things kids today would get an opportunity such as this to be out in the wilderness.

The son has a CJ_B, the father a MM Major. That was truly inspiring seeing son & dad next to each other in the marsh pit !!!

+1. You bet. In Bangalore almost all OTR's have family members joining in for the day or even camping overnight. This way it becomes more fun.

Here you are: NorthernIndiaoffroadclub : Northern India Off Road Club
And NIOC is nothing but the North Indian chapter of jeepthrills.
-Best regards,
