Off-the-road in Jaipur

Me an my friend again decided to go for an OTR Sunday morning. This time we came to know about a big pond around 20-25 kms away from Jaipur where Flamingos have come. So we decided to go there.

It was a simple OTR with its share of climbs and tricky parts but nothing too complicated. But we enjoy a lot the weather and beautyful scenic places we visited.

I know how I resisted myself from jumping in the water with my jeep.. hehe.

We went to total three different places close to each other and did lot more than what the pictures show. One place with hills was most mysterious. It was an old closed mine with broken hills surrounding all four sides of it and deep still green water in center. Ideal for an overnight camp to check if it was haunted or not. Can be used in Godzilla movie as its nest.

Finally things moving in Jaipur and an OTR in our favorite riverbed from Ramgarh. This time it was an evening OTR. We started at 3 PM and ended close to 9 pm. It was good fun. Raghu and Hemendra took these pictures and Navin posted them on Picasa..

The blue jeep got stuck while on the slope coming down due to a big shrub and red jeep went for its rescue but instead needed rescue itself later. The blue jeep was pulled backwards..

This one is my favorite sequence. I was very doubtful whether my jeep could do this or not. But the invincible SWB and good GC due to tall tyres, it came like a piece of cake..

Now this one looks real dangerous stunt, but it was not. He is only turning the jeep in a very limited space as didn't wanted to reverse it all the way.

If it wasn't for Raghu, Hememdra and Rajat (who took above pics) I would have shown only the below pics taken by me..

and said "very few pics taken as all were busy driving"

which usually happen.

BTW it was 4x2 Scorpio which did fairly well on the riverbed.

Mazza aagaya. I love the concept of evening OTRs. Sir next time when ever you are doing it in Jaipur keep NIOC posted so that any person who wants to join from here can drive down. I am sure Gurkha would love this trail but unfortunately YOKO won't :(

Naveen the pictures were taken by a new member Raghuver. Yes he has done a real good job.

Rohit- Sure I will do that in future. Would love to see Gurkha perform on this track. Infact would be great to have all NIOC here and have a blast.
