Hi Guys, Just had a small OTR this Saturday just three vehicles. Ibrahim with his Safari, Kunal with his mm540 and Amit, Tavesh, Renuka and me with the mm550 . This time we were a small group with Roy (Cougar) backing out and don't know about the others. It was an eventful OTR trying out some new tough obstacles and also some misfortunes like me blowing of my starter motor at the end, Ibrahim loosing his fender trim but not his will to conquer even in his 09 Safari and Kunal with a punture due to breaking of the valve and also damaging his fuel line at the end. Also a first timer women driver Renuka with Amit as her tutor and navigator who performed very well for a first timer except beaching the jeep once had no trouble other wise. Last but not the least the all wheel drive hyper energetic Atom who was a part of every thing happening every where.A special thanks to Tavesh for covering up the event with his camera. Here are the rest of the pics, After me Kunal tried the same rut but his jeep got lodged on a rock and his rear wheel dug in and this caused the damage to the valve resulting in a puncture.

That's a good decent guys! Why is the 550's chassis flexing so much? I haven't seen this much of flex on any jeep even during extreme articulations.

How can we reduce excessive flex?

Hi Guys,

Nice to see the Pune Off-Roaders, and their MM540s.

Why don't you guys give a 2 weeks notice and have a joint OTR with the Mumbai Off-Roaders. That would be a very big event.

I guess they prefer to go to spots near pune. Only ibrahim with his safari / gypsy comes with us to lonavla.

Kunal now stuck there with one tyre deflating fast, so we towed the rock out of the way and also towed Kunal's jeep down. Imran with his Safari.

It was a spur of the moment thing with absolutely no planning, i only got A call at around 6:30pm.

I guess they prefer to go to spots near pune. Only ibrahim with his safari / gypsy comes with us to lonavla.

It's not the question of distance but time, many times it is not feasible to drive all the way to lonavala for an otr.

Plus i have really undersize tires at the moment which are giving me a hard time offorad,i have done more damage to my vehicle in the last few otr's than in 3 years.

OK, fair enough.

We are planning a moonlight OTR on the 27-28th saturday sunday weekend of this month at lonavla.

You guys should come this time. Loads of fun. And Lonavla is closer to pune than bombay!!! Plz try.
