I've heard of ppl selling kits for mounting the Volkswagon diesel motor, the same as the Palio's or the scoda's. They say its the best alternate motor sinces its very light, but frankly, i guess you lose a lot of its raw character.

That will be a first a vRS Gypsy.

Khan saab - there maybe a smiley at the end - but just in case, have you not seen the infamous Skoda threads? even if you were to service the jeep outside, would you trust the parts bought form the dealers?

Servicing that engine aint reasonable from what I hear.

Baleno swap would be good. That engine has quite a bit of torque. I would not be surprised to see a ' Gypsy on Steroids: G16B Engine Swap - WIP' thread shortly.

Shahnawaz what is the price of these maxxis tyres on your Gypsy and the size please.

I have also acquired a 2004 model MPFI Gypsy King MG413W.

Currently they have Hankoon Dynamic 255/70/R15 but these tyres are quite unsuitable offroad.

The Maxxis in 235/70 or 75/R15 would be perfect.

Whenever you are in soft sand or mud and fear your tyres will dig in, start the vehicle from start in 2nd gear with 4 H engaged. Toyota Prado and Landcruisers have this feature called 2nd start built in in A/T models. For manual transmission just start in 2nd, slow and gentle.

and 1" spacers for a wider stance. The track width now should be ~53.6 inches.

3,300 with long studs. Custom made in Bangalore

The quality of OE studs and these are different -- like chalk & cheese. These are ok for now but not as a long term solution. These can't take abuse like OE studs. I have an idea in mind and will give an update in 2-3 weeks on this matter.

Khan,

Were you testing this between Bomanahalli and Silkboard, Sunday morning, around 1130'ish? I saw you and the Zuki - looked great in the new rubber...

I drove past on the other road towards Hosur, hence cldnt get more sight of it.
