Indeed the SPOAd jeep always looks monstrous. BTW, your front bumper also needs change. Either the simple flat original CJ type bumper (which might be underneath) or a stinger type will complement the new stance.

Yes, Im looking into that as well. A proper off-road stinger bumper should do. I still have other worries. Steering being the biggest.

Hi roadie. I have been running spoa for a while now on my Jeep. The drag link was bent around the leaf part to give the necessary clearance. It did survive for a bit but gave way during one extreme rock trail. Another fault of mine was not using stopper bolts for max turning radius due to LWB which added more strain on the drag link on the rocky trail. Planning to redo the same but will be adding a sleeve to the drag link for added strength and did put back the stopper bolts. Pic with my busted link on trail.

Great going mate, please add a roll cage, you will feel the body roll post 40 kmps, which will make you feel dizzy at those height, not to mention G-forces during hard braking

Those PRAD bumpers are VFM. However the paint started to peel off from the front bumper on my Thar. More over sun exposed parts.

Hi roadie. Whats your feedback on the drag link. How is the steering feel? Please try 4x4 on rocks(articulation of front end) extensively with this set up and provide feedbacks when you can.

cheers

Did you get rid of the older alloys already? Not that these look bad, but I feel those (old ones) looked better than the present ones.

Re: My MM540 4X4 Build: new shell, SOA, PS etc

Hey @4x4Roadie,

First of all a big congratulations of your new ride.
It takes a lot of patience and determination to build/restore a jeep. Non-jeepers will never understand.

Now,
1. Could you share the cost of the new front and rear bumpers.
2. The final detailed pics of the SOA.
3. Advise: My front windshield is leaks when it rains, so just the windshield rubber lining should be changed? Because I have noticed water dripping from under the dashboard too.
