Well so far it has been great. Negligible bump steer. The additional plates welded on the drag link has given it more strength so it wont flex on the bends.
However I have had an issue with the death wobble when I'm cruising at 40 to 50 kph and I hit a small bump. Noticed that it happens only when the right wheel hits a bump. I have had this issue years back when I had a normal setup but a full kingpin bearing service and change of the knuckle kits solved this problem then. I will be getting the knuckle kits replaced again in a few days. Will also be adding a steering dampener with should be added help.
Todat being Sunday i found a good hillside nearby where i could check the 4WD. And she performed beautifully.
I have yet to take her into severe rock terrain to check how well the drag link hold. Will do that soon.

First of all a big congratulations of your new ride.
It takes a lot of patience and determination to build/restore a jeep. Non-jeepers will never understand.

Now,
1. Could you share the cost of the new front and rear bumpers.
2. The final detailed pics of the SOA.
3. Advise: My front windshield is leaks when it rains, so just the windshield rubber lining should be changed? Because I have noticed water dripping from under the dashboard too.
Thanks Mudcat. It's been a long hard wait for my jeep to get ready amidst a lot of other unfortunate circumstances. But it all worth it.

1.Bumpers from Prad 4x4 cost me 7.5 k for the front and 7 k for the rear plus shipping.

2.SOA pics will upload shortly.

3.The front windshield can leak from the rubber. But in my experience the water also comes in from the gap under the windshield frame. There is a thick rubber strip there that can harden over time and allow water seepage. Another place to look for is the joint between the vertical part of the body and the top of the firewall. Just below the wiper holes. Thats where water comes in sometimes.
Applying silicone sealant in all these places should solve the problem.
Hope this helps.

Beautifully restored Jeep. Can you share the name and location of the garage who carried out the job. You are from Panjim but your Jeep is registered in Margao.

Hi

Great restore. I'm also restoring one. Just need to know if you still have the previous tires and alloys. Let me know if you want to sell them.

Cheers

Do not go for Epistar bars. Go for something with Cree 10W LED and spot beam.
3W LED light bars look very bright, but most of the light is near the vehicle. This kills your night vision, and far away things you can normally see in your high beams become invisible.
For offroading however, cheap 3W light bars are good enough.
That said, a similar size light bar with Cree 10W LEDs will cost you 2X as compared to 3W bars with Epistar/Cree LEDs
