Rezwan,

I did see your thread on rangerover.net, great job and I absolutely love the condition of your interior.

I do have updates on the rangie, firstly the lift kit from britpart is installed, secondly I have installed newer tyres 287/75/16, however I need to get wider wheels because the tyres are ballooning a bit and also they rub on a full turn on the inside. I have a ton of pics that I will be uploading today.

re: My 1986 Range Rover Classic 3.5 V8. EDIT: Lift kit & New tyres added

Here are the pictures of the lift kit installed, the tyres look even smaller now and the Rangie looks funny to be honest, but lucky me I already have a set of 285/76/16 tyres sitting which are installed now, posting pics in the next post.

The original height after lift kit install has risen by about 3 inches, this is because the old springs were sagging.

PICS WITH NEW TYRES COMING UP !!!!!

Wow, the Rangie looks ready for anything thrown on its path. Have seen the car many times on the slope but never realised that it belongs to a fellow member. Would love to check it out in person.

Also may I suggest you to consider to blacken the steel rims and leave the lip as it is. IMO it would transform the look of your car.

The VW bug and the camper van also look really sweet on the same slope.

@S2 - The VW bug and the orange camper van belong to the guy who has restored my Rangie and also my Buick, they are not for sale (unfortunately).

I am now posting pictures of the Rangie with lift kit and larger tyres.

These tyres are Mastercraft AT2 (Mud + Snow) and I got a banging deal on them.

Hey buddy,

Any plans for any aesthetic mods? a v8 should go with a slightly more done up exterior. Looks too simple/discreet today!

Extra Lights?

A good Rangie here: Link Interesting alternative to the bumper!

Can we have the audio of the v8! On the double!

Also, on-road pics don't make sense when it would look so much better offroad! Looking forward to some pics in the outdoors!

Oh and yeah: Kitna deti hain?

Cheers,
Adi

@spawnofsatan - Nice thread, enjoyed reading the sequence. She's a beauty no doubt, new rubbers make her more mean.

Some more interior snaps after the restore would do justice to the tread.

HI the Rangie looks amazing you can also look at an option of getting the Wheels sand blasted, they would become brand new and then you can get a clear coat on them.

Amazing Work and dedication Spawnofsatan. I am sure you must have consumed all your reserve patience for this project.

Somehow the front grill / Head lights / rear tail lamps makes the car looks old though all other workds look neat. + I suggest you change the number plates to something that will suit its character. Neat work once again.

Happy Motoring.

Great car.

Great to come across this thread ~ lovely restoration!

I have had this 1984 RR Classic for the last twenty years, and it's my favourite ride!

This is definitely great however, how do you maintain this vehicle, especially if you require spares?

Re: My 1986 Range Rover Classic 3.5 V8. EDIT: Lift kit & New tyres added

It doesn't really need all that much repairs, but I have had the suspension changed once or twice in these twenty + years with spares from a firm named Famous Four in the UK.

Hello Spawnofsatan, it's been quite some time that we had an update from your side. How is your Rangie doing? Any upgrades after the tyres?

I love these early classic Range Rovers. Wonderful cars. Really 'go anywhere' and in luxury and comfort.
Understated, functional, elegant, yet tough as nails. Mechanical and hence reliable compared to the electronic things.
After all the Queen of England too uses one!
