Here are the build pics will keep coming
1> Bull bar out of the packing.
2> Winch placing/positioning on the bullbar/winch mount.
3> Altering the winch clutch lever position as it will not fit under the bullbar in it's factory position.
4> Its bye bye to the stock suspension

Re: Nissan Patrol Y61

Mohnish a real monster looking truck man, congrats. How does it compare to our desi Tempo Traveler in size ? I think I saw this a few days back near Peenya and was in awe by the sheer size of it.
BTW where is the pic with Patrol standing face to face with the esteem ?

Re: Nissan Patrol Y61

Mohnish, Congrats for the BEAST!!!!

Last year I saw one parked beside a mall on GB road. I stopped for a while to have look and I must admit that my X Trail looked puny in front of Patrol.

Which suspension ?

Re: Nissan Patrol Y61

Here another Y61 (GU) in the process of undergoing a lift ! Increased the height by 180 mm.

This GU has a TB48 4.8 litre engine. This is going to be turbocharged.

Congrats on the monster memo45_m. And its a steal for the money that you have paid. The Patrol is bulletproof. How I wish to have a truck of that size on B'lore roads.

If possible, remove those vinyls along the side. I think your truck will look nicer without them.

Re: Nissan Patrol Y61

Now that's intimidating. I need a keep an eye on the bangalore roads for this monster.

@memo: Where exactly can I expect to see you around? With that kind of GC, I am not sure what your intentions are!! Can't wait to see the other pictures and real "darshan" on road

Awesome Patrol you got there! I'm trying to make my Endeavour into an Offroad beast just like your patrol will be. Lockers and all. Have the ironman lift already. So amazing how much knowledge you have regarding modifying your vehicle. I hope to be as knowledgeable someday. I'm in the process of trying to get 32" tyres right now. To get the maxxis in 32" size I'm having to wait another 4 months! Would like to get something sooner.

Any chance you could give some details on tyre dealers in Bangalore that might have that size? Would really appreciate it. Also what price did you pay for the ironman bullbar? I think everything from there is really expensive so I'm just going to get a custom made bullbar, rock sliders, and rear bumper all for what you probably paid for that 1 bullbar. Zac is asking 65,000 for the bullbar alone and 55,000 for the winch. A bit much I think.

Good luck with your build and I hope to see you in a Bangalore OTR someday if I come with my beast (probably will never be as beastly as yours though) from chennai.

Re: Nissan Patrol Y61

How are you getting SO much articulation than my Endeavour? That's ridiculous! I've even removed the anti roll bar and dont get that much. Is it all because of the leaf spring vs coil spring setup?

Btw, is this Patrol and the one in the previous picture next to the Red Esteem yours or the one that's been lifted 180mm?

Same car bro. the articulation is cos of the coil spring setup of the patrol. It will get more articulation if the anti-roll bars are removed.

Sir if you don't mind could you let us know what suspension has gone in, and also have you gone for drop boxes or caster plates for the front radius arms, what pan-hard roads and are the anti roll bars connected permanently or have quick disconnects. also standard diff ratios or changed, Sorry for so many questions? but the information will be very helpful.

Well that answers my question. 6 inches lift?? Crazy. I thought ironman made only 2 inch lifts. Awesome truck. Look forward to seeing it soon. Any luck finding the 32" size in MTs?
