Dont know about the rest of the brown vehicle...but the windshield and wipers seem to be from a Gypsy.

The entire suspension looks jugaad to me...do you have any better pics of the underside, Parm ?

The front portion of the chassis is visible in one of the pics, and seems to be that of a Gypsy .

Well, I see Independent Front suspension, CV joints, Driveshafts and disc brakes on the front.
Similarly, Independent Rear suspension, CV joints, Driveshafts and disc brakes on the rear too.

I really dont think any indian OEM (S)UV comes with this particular combo.
Plus, the rear suspension and the strut angle is really messed up, at least it looks messed up. Who knows, maybe a juggad.
Itll be very interesting to find out the Donor.

Mostly the Gypsy

But a brave effort , I must say. Someone has tried a all independent suspension job on it

Except the hand pelted "Mud"

re: What Donor vehicle lies under this modded 4x4?

Somebody tell me I am wrong, but do I imagine seeing a McPherson strut holding up the rear suspension? Seems like major (mutilating) surgery has been performed on this vehicle!

Could this be a (murdered) Toyota FJ22/Blizzard, or a Daihatsu?

All 4 independent suspension and 4 wheel drive, nice!! I have no clue but like the idea of a all 4 I.S 4WD.

Could this be a chopped grand vitara? As in an accidental GV chopped to make its wheelbase smaller etc. Punjab is know to have wild ideas.

Does it even have a chassis? i see nothing in the circle where the ladder frame should be visible. Although a very slight ladder frame like silhouette is visible- which matches the Jypsy ladder frame shape- isnt it too high? the treads of the tyre on the other side are visible in the gap!

it may be a chopped up monocoque.

Also, the front wheels have a positive camber, which is a result of trying to raise a stock mc pherson suspension. The hubs have a 5 lug pattern. and the only fwd cars i can think of which have them are the skoda octavia and the SX4. or maybe some other D segmenter. On Another thought, too much of that Puny looking mcpherson strut is showing from the front view- maybe its running wheel spacers to widen the track artificially.

The thickness of the steering tie rod doesnt suggest an off road vehicle as well.

I fail to see the rear drive shafts, but that rear arm! its a recipe for having bent arms. the spring is acting in the middle, putting bending stress on it! spring angle is also kind of wierd, sloping towards the rear of the vehicle and tapering in as well. and the set up suggests there is another control arm above it. And im yet to see a vehicle with Mc Pherson front- double wishbone rear susp.

overall, i think its no OEM vehicle in there, but a combo of many OEM parts.

The suspension in Skoda Yeti looks different than this one.

I do not know of any Indian Crossover/SUV which might be running these underpinnings.
