Jeeps in Hyderabad

I was dumbstruck when I saw these Jeeps. All these are local projects. The work done is, to say the least, simply phenomenal. The detailing on the cars was outstanding.

Really nice looking jeeps and the detailing is indeed quite beautiful. Were they on a show or something? which location?

This beauty owned by a friend was once used by Khasim Rizvi, the notorious leader of the Razakar movement in 40's which wanted Hyderabad to stay independent or cede to Pakistan. Thankfully he didn't succeed but glad his car survived

Its all local work. What's most impressive is they import stuff if needed to get the right look. Way to go!!

Man, I think I just wet my pants. Mind boggling Jeeps, DKG! Thanks for sharing the pictures. Are all the Jeeps in the first post custom built off Indian platforms?

Thats the problem with such immaculate projects. I doubt they will be taken out for hard-core offroading.

Yes, depends on the owner. If its only show-then "No" and if they don't mind some grime and loose suspensions, then i am sure they would

From the cost of the base vehicle upwards, including the engine, the paint, trim, upholstery, tyres and equipment it apparently ranges from 3.5 lacs to 5 lacs, depending on how you spec it

In terms of sourcing the body I guess like all other cars you need to send feelers out and keep at it till you find what you like

From what I understood from the owners they are entirely a home grown effort, done from scratch, using bodies and engines etc from various vehicles.

If you guys are interested in more details I'd be happy to organise the full lowdown on how to build one yourself. What I liked is the detailing, many parts were ordered from abroad, like the fender extensions etc

It would make for a terrific TBHP project, what say GTO???
