Hi
I look forward to this!
However, I still feel the Landry in India will be a bit on the high priced side - beyond a certain point, a product moves from pure product values to "brand" value - and this phenomenon may end up pricing it out of the common man's utility vehicle market unfortunately!
Dunsfold collection is the world's largest private collection I think - their web pics are wonderful!
cheers

Both are VIP passes. One to enter army cantonment without gate entry everytime other to go everywhere else. For eg: during strike and curfew, which is very common here in Darjeeling now.

Lovely Series 111 you have! I am a 4WD enthusiast from Chennai, having a 1942 Ford GPW with a Bantam Trailer besides other vintage & Classic vehicles. I am also facinated with the Land Rover and was in Darjeeling last month especially to see Land Rovers. I did go all the way to Maney Banjyang and managed to spot quite a few Series 1 Landys. Did speak to the mechanic who maintains them and he was proud to pose in front of one with a piston in his hand.
I wanted to acquire one but couldnt swing anything in such a short time.
Anyway, hoping I will be lucky enough to get one in a fairly original condition.

Anyone know of any defenders for sale in India?

I was just wondering how if any were for sale (80s models) and if so, how much they would be?

80s you meant by 80 inch wheel base or 1980.

80 inch is only series I which is rare.

1980 you will get defenders, but those are rare too.

Is your Landy series III a military version?
Somehow the shape of the bonnet gives an impression of that.
