OUTSTANDING.....................

cummon.. speed up the thread.
Sree, Thanks bro. I will speed it up. The delay was mainly because I was unable to find the pics since I changed my home PC recently.

Where were you going via Adoor. It was me who was driving it. You could have called me.
Are you back in town? How is your 416 project going? Waiting for the pics and final results.

jeepcaptain, final look of your gypsy is great. one thing feel better if you have painted same yellow instead black around the head lights, that would have given a solid look into your gypsy.

gonewithwind, Thanks man. I know what you are talking about. But my idea was to restore to stock condition. The only additional thing added is the tyres and wheels.

amritnoronha, Thanks man. I understand.. But i prefer 2 tone or contrasting colours. Well it costed me 75K only for restoration without vehicle cost and tyres+wheels

OOPS !! I did miss the first part, so is this one sold? Shibu i just wanted to know, what is the procedure of buyin a ex GOVT vehicle in kerala, if you don't mind can you also share the price of this one? I was thinking of picking up a used Army Gypsy from mayapuri( the fund is already getting generous deposits every month ), but if you can get one cheaper here itself why go there?

Shibu,

Sorry for going OT but the OTR scene here in kerala is very sad, we have a lot of places here where an OTR can be performed but, hardly have seen anyone doing it. I think we need to organize something here.

The only thing stoping me is the lack of a capable vehicle, it makes me jelous and sad to see Bangy boys have most of the fun every weekend. I have seen a lot of guys who do not own a offroader go to these OTRs learn and then buy a offroader. I remember reading our MOD Samurai taking offroading clases in Arka's jeep, then he took the plunge. @gone you have a offroader why dont you start something? I would love to tag along till i get my own gypsy. I am sure its just the normal starting trouble we all mallus have, once someone does the honours the trend just sets in.

Pramod,
As I said above me also lives a lot time out of Kerala. I am going to be in trivandrum coming 3 months. I would love to do something with my Gypsy.
Which part of Kerala you are from?
I been told by a fellow Bhpian from Trivandrum , saying that they do OTR with their Jeeps and Gypsies and they meet every week in Trivandrum.

Pramod,
There are so many SUV's and 4x4 in Kerala, perhaps more than anywhere els. Remember Kerala basically is a single forest with hundreds of hills (malanadu).
