Did you managed to get the 1.6 Engine. I am also looking for some engine upgrade for my 1.0 ltr. I may be happy with 1.3, so pm me please once you are done so I can utilize ur information to source one for me.

i am a new member to TEAM BHP, saw your jeep Oranjie, your works are great and appriciatable. Your Gypsy looks Stunning, keep goin brother, hope you get a bigger engine and take that baby out of the stable. dont Anger the Dirt Gods, GET OUTSIDE, GO OFF ROADING, waiting for that.

Allan did you try hyderabad and chennai (pudupettai and border thottam- know for 2nd hand auto parts)

Guess someone from chennai should help allan.

What are the engine options you have in mind?

Xtreme Power wonderful build, some questions :

You have added silver metal sheets to the inner sides of the doors (Looks like), Wont they be heavy and cause injury in case your elbow hits the side of the door while driving ?

You have added a smaller steering wheel, In my openion the gypsy has a large turnin radious and with a small steering you will have to rotate the wheel a lot. I think the gypsy should get a bigger steering than the standard one and not a smaller one ?

There is a baleno engine here but without ECM. let me know if you are interested.

update guys:

engine has arrived,

little damage in transportation
a few sensors are broken and need replacement
gearbox has been attached to the engine
mountings are been fabricated

thank you mr ankit(go slow) in helping me getting the engine
and our mr mexxentic for all the advice

Great looking buddy. offroadability will increase drastically. I feel this this gypsy would be the first with winch.
