Hi Allan,
The Gypsy is damn cool. Just 1 point. Don't you think the rear door is too overloaded with the heavy tires. I'm sure you may have strengthened it. Was browsing the net and came across a site which has some cool accessories for the Gypsy:
ZUK-N-OVATIONS - A Suzuki Adventure Company
The rear door/bumper design especially was to my liking:
Nice work Allan, In fact it is one of the best gypsy to look & listen.
I am sure there are some performance modifications in the Baleno engine??
I just went through the thread at one go & remember you saying somewhere that you deal in lights.
I am looking forward to sourcing lights for my scorpio as well as Thar( if i get), will you be able to help us. Mind you we are bases in GGN.
Overall all the best for your awsome work.
@alan - I noticed a black insulating material on the hood and in the bay in the engine bay pic. I'm not sure it comes on a stock gypsy. What material is that? What kind of difference does it make in the cabin?
I think its already been said a zillion times but let me say it once more. Great work!! Its an absolutely fantastic ride!! :)
Wow Lovely looking & performing Gypsy, could you please pm the pricing details ?
Cheers
Sunil
shall definitely send you a pm
car is in for servicing now,
got to get everything checked once again since the rally has taken quite a toll on her,
but she ran superbly well
Hey, the video looks more like 90 to 120 or 130. Not 190! Can we have a realistic one please?
IMO gypsy geartrain prevents you from running above 130 or 140 Max!!!

speedo error , ya probably,
but the gypsy speedometer goes upto only 140,
so obviously i was using the race logicclap: |
@ Headers,....did you read this part !
well in the video im clocking about 140km/h, that was crusing speed for her,
she touched 184 on the racelogic. felt damn weird and undependent at that speed though.
on my way back from the flight of the hawkz she was regularily touching the 170s as recorded on my gps(dont know if this shows error)
but basic thing is she is fast, how reliable at that speeds at the moment i dont know, but im working on her in terms of high speed reliability at the moment,
well for starters you can try her during the tpc and youll get a glimpse of the power she beholds,
ask prithvi how amazed he was with her power during the hawk challenge.
Hey Allen,...Howz it hanging mate !!
190 is some serious speed,...even more astonishing considering its running a 1.6 liter 94bhp mill.
What complicates matters is that you are top heavy as well owing to the SPOA set up.
The monster wheels dont help either.
But then like the say neither is the bumble bee aerodynamic , nor is it light and considering its wingspan it should not be able to fly,..then why does it ???
Ans. Thats cos it does know or care about the laid down facts of physics.
Hence, Its going to take some serious facts to convince our bretheren on what you just said (OMG 190 in a Gypsy) !!!! WOW
Will you get a chance to put her on a Dyno,..if not can you fanthom how much she is putting out at the crank (Basic calculations on what the considered power gains could be due to each focused mod).
Me things you would have to be putting out close to 120-130 bhp~ to be able to pull off 190 kmph on a big rig such as the Gypsy (Considering its complete lack of aerodynamics, and the low end torque compromise much needed for low range operations of a off roader)

Thanks Mate. I will be looking forward to that.

Congrats bro....
190 in your Gypsy is bit dangerous.
Drive safe
Please post feedback on gear ratio feel.
FFE sounds awesome..
Hey Allan, you originally had modified stock rims, what did u do with that as you now have alloys on the BLUE. and can you enlighten us on the modification of the stock rims. is the strength good enough fot OTRs or high speed thrills. and ofcourse the costing also would help as a deciding factor.
Great project Allan.. Money spent with brains :)
gypsy has just gone through a change
now instead of the normal 5 wheels and tyres
She has 7 wheels
