Awesome.
Except that you're competing for the 'twenty-twenty' reserve flood lights! :)
Cheers,man!
It looks awesome. My only comment is that it has too many lights. It takes away the mean look.
Allan, the Gypsy looks killer and a perfect city ride:Shockked: mind blowing. The blue color looks very very nice on the Gypsy.
and looking forward shortly in OTR.
hey try some stripes on the doors.stupid:
gr8 colour. gr8 wheels. but but but. too many lights.

few things i dont like
have tried a blue strip on the wheels , going to go for a yellow wheel stripe
thinking of changing the bumper light rack to something more angular, this seems a bit to squared for my liking..might change the four lights to three as a result
three big ones compared to two and two
else quite happy with her
no engine yet though
any drawbacks please let me know |
Allan the car looks awesome, 3 lights will look bit odd, stick four , use smaller once.
get a additional battery with a change over switch for charging it. A volt meter and an ammeter. the lights will draw a lot of amps.
thanks guys,
got the region around the headlight in blue
trying one wheel in a yellow stripe , lets see how it looks
i no there are alot of lights
i like lights
n besides i really use them,
sultan sir, had tried the door handles in black
never liked them
the side mirrors i had picked quite a few years from amsterdam, have the same set on my delhi green gypsy
shall post more pictures soon after a few changes

I think these are worked on gypsy rims, usually two discs are fused to make on disc.
I had seen a similar set up on a Jeep in Cochin. A total of 8 gypsy rims and labour to get the wheels done this way.
Reliability and ride would be a serious concern though. |
you are referring to this aren't you?
I got pix from him.
Great build !! are those 32" rubbers ? didn't know that changing just the shakles cud lift the jeep so much :)
Red wheel stripe would go down well with the blue car i.M.O.
xtremepower-a darker blue shade of the same body color would really look good on the rims than yellow, which is bit common now, but,a yellow or brighter blue of the same body color would look great on the shocks springs.like you mentioned the light rack would look better if it is angled a bit, this is too squarish, but otherwise beautiful jeep, congrats.
nice work dude, well done
when is the beast going to hit the roads ...?

Mouthwatering.agree:
Suggestions-
Get hub caps for the wheels.
Hope that you will be adding FW hub locks. Paint them in a different colour.
Allan, awesome work you are doing there! clap:Hopefully the engine will come through soon and you will be all set. :thumbs up
I dont know about others but you definitely have a potential customer sitting in me.
I was a hardcore MM550/540 guy and was all set to go ahead with one sourcing it from Padam in mayapuri and then getting it over to Sudhir Kashyaps workshup. But this thread of yours has pulled me out and sent me back to my true love of a petrol Gypsy. I am waiting for this final outcome once that is done I will send you a PM for the pricing breakout.
Hopefully by Gods grace and some luck I will also be the proud owner of a pimped out but capable offroader Gypsy
great work bro.clap:
Allan..some killer gypsy thats turned out to be man. Being an ex-gypsy owner myself, i know how a build must feel. Great going...here's wishing you all the luck with the engine.
Designwise, I also think the front bull bar is too square. In fact I thought so even before you mentioned it. But then again I think the current light combo looks very good, three big LF's might look weird IMHO. The blue is looking fantastic. Some logos and graphics on the car would look killer !!
