Thanks Jaswinder, I will send you my contacts.Well the update is seats frames are fabricated. But I have told them to hold on for the paintjob. The engine/GB transplant is kept as last item.

Dwarak sir, you have very sharp eyes I would say. yes bonnet and mudguards are installed temporarily since they had to be removed for final painting. Will be installed as you suggested.
Thanks

More updates.

Got the seat frames done.

I also got the front mesh grille installed. But I am confused now!

I was planning to restore my CJ3B as pure civilian. So the question is should I install the army accessories like the mesh grille, metal guard for head light and indicators etc or should I leave them and keep it fully civilian.Look at pic of what accessories I've got.

Waiting for comments!

These are the accessories I've got.

In my opinion you should keep it clean. The mesh and the guards spoil the look of the classic Jeep and it looks a lot better without them.

Hi Shibu !!

I also think you should keep is simple as on the civilian model 3B's. I have picked up the stuff that you needed to convert the Jeep's tailgate to drop down type. Please PM me your Contact details so that I can send the stuff over. I PMed you but dont know if you've got it or not. I will dispatch the stuff on Thursday as I am travelling out of Delhi tomorrow.

More updates.

Seat upholstery work has been completed. Nothing fancy just plain bench seats.
Removed wheels for repainting and gettting new tyres aswell.

NDMS instead of old tractor tyres.

Buddy - in case this is present and not a Flash-Back (like 550) - Please make sure you got WIDER wooden log to Jack the Jeep. The current setup looks SCARY...!!

My suggestion would be to try either Niagara if you want a dark tone or Opaline green if you are looking for a lighter tone paint.

Jasvinder, Finally I have decided to go with your suggestion. I'm painting it Niagara!!

Buddy - Diamond white is close to the Ivory color right? It looks like a faint shade of Yellow?

Is the Jeep going to be blue with White rims?

CJ3B Test Drive

Pics are below. I didnt had the NDMS tyres as It was arriving the following day.
But I had a set of old gypsy tyres on gypsy rims so I used them for this test drive.
